PHASED REOPENING OF SCHOOLS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

We are looking forward to welcoming some of our children back to school on Monday 8th June as part of the governments partial reopening of schools.  You will receive a letter by email which informs you of  everything you need to know, but we would also encourage you to watch the video and read the guidelines as school does look very different to how the children will remember it.

GREAT NORTH AIR AMBULANCE CLOTHING COLLECTION - NEW DATE!!!

We now have a new date for our Great North Air Ambulance Collection, which was previously due to take place in April.

DOORSTEP COLLECTION - Irthington, Newtown, Newby, Laversdale and Old Wall areas - Sunday 12th July 2020 from 10am.
SCHOOLYARD COLLECTION - Monday 13th July 2020 - Bags to be brought to school by 9am that morning..

The children were sent home in mid-March with air ambulance bags for filling with unwanted clothes, bags, pairs of shoes, belts, blankets, pillow cases, duvet covers and sheets.
Empty printer ink cartridges and unwanted mobile phones are also accepted in a separate bag.

Bags will also be distributed in and around the local villages (Irthington, Newtown, Newby, Laversdale and Old Wall) in the next couple of weeks.

If anyone requires extra bags they can be collected from the school yard - just outside of the main reception from tomorrow (Wednesday 17th June 2020). Items will also be accepted in non Air Ambulance bags.

Our last collection in October 2019 raised a fantastic £224.80 for both the Great North Air Ambulance and Irthington School.
We would like to thank all those who contributed items and/or time to make this such a successful event.

The Great North Air Ambulance relies upon donations to continue to operate, which is particularly important in rural areas, so please support this cause whenever you can.
