Irthington Village School is a small rural school close to Brampton. We are seeking to appoint a full-time permanent class teacher to join our friendly and supportive school team and teach our mixed age class (Year 2 and 3).

This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of our current teacher, who has been a valued member of our team. We are now looking for someone equally committed and passionate to join us and continue this high-quality work.

This role will start on the 1st September 2026.

As our Class 2 Teacher, you will create a calm, purposeful, and engaging classroom environment where children feel confident, motivated, and eager to learn. You will plan creative, well structured lessons that support children’s progress across the curriculum while ensuring learning remains joyful, meaningful, and accessible for all.

In return you will work with a dedicated and welcoming team, teaching fantastic children who enjoy their learning. You will have the full support of the headteacher and the governors and opportunities for continuing Professional development.
