On Friday 3rd October, seven Year 6 children took part in the annual High 5 netball competition at William Howard School. They played 4 games (winning 3 and drawing 1) and won first place in the large school category!
We recently held our annual Scholastic Book Fair in school, with parents and pupils invited to browse the shelves after school each day of the fair. There was a fantastic selection of books available to view.
The Rota Kids held their first fundraising event of this school year, a fancy-dress disco. Games were played, prizes won and sweets, drinks and lots of dancing was enjoyed by everyone.
Well done to Rota Kids, Jess, Grace, Louise and Merryn for organising and running a successful and fun Easter Bunny Drive on 19th March.
On Monday 26th February Johnny from Action Ants came into school. In our classes we enjoyed using mini cross bows in the morning.
On Wednesday 29th November and Friday 15th December 2023 all of the children took part in our Great Christmas Cake Bake. There was lots of mixing, pouring and stirring involved.
On Friday 8th December Julie cooked the whole school a delicious Christmas lunch. The whole school would like to thank Julie, Eirian and Louise for all their help and making such a yummy lunch.
On Monday 4th December, Theatre Online came into school to perform Beauty and the Beast. It was a brilliant panto and we all had fun singing and clapping along to the songs.
Some of the children took part in the Lanercost Cross Country Competition on Friday 24th November at Talkin Tarn.
Class One have loved being back in school, playing with our friends and enjoying the different areas to play in our classroom. We’ve played in the sand and water trays, made yummy mud pies in the mud kitchen and got messy playing with the gloopy slimy ‘clean mud’.
