Everyone enjoyed the Rota Kids latest fundraising event, a Easter ‘flower’ drive.
It was a very exciting afternoon, especially when you got to shout ”flower” if you won!
On Sunday 14th May, Irthington Village School PTA held their annual summer Fair.
There were numerous stalls, prizes to be won and the grand raffle. It was a very well attended event, and everyone seemed to have an enjoyable afternoon.
After a busy week sitting Sats, Year 6 enjoyed an afternoon at Hollywood Bowl on Friday 12th May. They had great fun bowling, enjoyed lunch and ice cream then played on many of the arcade games. Motorbikes and Nerf Blaster were brilliant.
On Thursday 4th May we celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III by holding a Non-Uniform Day.
The children enjoyed an afternoon of Fun & Games followed by Hot Dogs and Ice Cream.
On Thursday 16th March, 12 children from year 6 took part in the first stage of the annual Eden Rock Climbing competition. After success in that stage both the boys and girls team earned a place in the final. The final took place on Wednesday 22nd March. After some challenging climbs the boys team achieved third place and the girls team achieved second place. Well done to everyone who competed.
Children went ‘Red’ on Tuesday 14th of February to raise funds for the Rota Kids chosen charities, British Heart foundation and Epilepsy Action. They came into school wearing red in any way they wanted. We had red hair, red nails and lots of red clothing. Each child enjoyed a cupcake that they iced with vibrant red icing. They raised £88
