On Tuesday 14th June some children from Class 3 went to WHS to take part in a Primary Sports Festival. They entered a variety of field and track events. It was a great morning and lots of certificates were awarded. Well done to everyone who took part.
On Thursday 26th May, Class One went to Carlisle Cathedral. We went into ‘Princess Belle’s Castle’. The celling was very very high.
On Thursday 19th May, Class One visited Bitts Park. We were dropped off at the car park, we then walked into the park and took our first photo between the Bitts Park stone walls.
All the year 6 children had a fun afternoon at Hollywood Bowl. They enjoyed 3 games of bowling, fun on the arcade games and finished off with their choice of meal. Well done to them all for surviving their Sats tests!
On Tuesday 17th May, Classes 2 and 3 walked from Birdoswald to Gilsland along Hadrian’s Wall.
The children had lots of fun exploring the wall and imagining what life would have been like as a Roman soldier.
On Thursday 5th May, Class One went to Tullie House. We enjoyed a morning of looking at, drawing and using a range of different items from Victorian times.
On Tuesday 26th April, Classes 2 and 3 went to visit Housesteads Roman Fort.
Children had to explore the fort then complete the quiz. We found out some interesting latrine facts!
Rota Kidz would like to say a great big thank you to everyone who so very kindly and generously donated to the Ukrainian Refugee Appeal. All items have been handed over to The Brampton Area Action Group to be taken to Poland for distribution.
Some children from Class 3 took part in the Eden Rock Climbing competition on Wednesday 30th March. They each had 20 walls to climb over 5 zones. It was a great day and they all rose to the challenges!
Rota Kidz organised a non-uniform and Bunny drive day on Tuesday 29th March to raise funds for Water Aid and Oak Tree Animal Rescue. It was a fun afternoon with lots of frantic dice rolling!
As part of the 2 days of Easter crafts all the children took part in the Egg Decorationg competition on Monday 28th March. There were many ‘original creations. The winners of the 3 categories were awarded with chocolate eggs. Everyone and an ‘eggcellent’ day.
The Fairtrade Group gave an assembly to the rest of the school on the theme of this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight – Climate Change . The group explained some of the problems that are created by climate change, the causes of climate change and what we can do to help stop it.
