Rota Kids held their first fundraising event on Wednesday 3rd November. They organised a Halloween Disco. Games were played and much dancing was done!

Irthington School were delighted to hand over a cheque for £204.00 to Blood Bikes Cumbria. The money was raised by last year’s ROTA kids for this very worthwhile cause.
We were lucky enough to have Nat back in school so that we could take part in wheelchair basketball. This has become an annual event that the children look forward to immensely.
Look at how much fun we have had settling back into Class One. We have done a whole range of things from painting, collecting leaves, playing on the bikes & trikes, dressing up, making crafts and doing lots of hard work.
Everyone in school enjoyed leavers’ lunch on Wednesday 14th July. There was so much yummy food to choose from. Ice-cream and brownie finished the treat.
Year 6 children went to Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday 13th July for a celebratory, end of year treat for all their hard work through this difficult year.
During the week beginning 28th June, children in year 5 and 6 took part in Bikeability cycle training. The training develops skills for safe and responsible cycling.
On Wednesday 7th July, the whole school took part in a fun day. In the morning our lovely year 6 play leaders set up obstacle courses for the rest of the school to take part in.
KS2 children took part in 3 fun filled activity days at Hawse End Centre, Portinscale.
On Thursday 1st July, the whole school took part in Sports Day. It was a beautiful day, all the children had fun and enjoyed cheering on their friends. They took part in running and skipping races, the egg and spoon and relay race.
