Children arrived in school on Thursday armed with their fantastic creations for the recycling challenge – Make something new out of something old. The competition was judged by two of the governors.

On Thursday 3rd March, the Fairtrade group held an afternoon tea party in school for all children. Fairtrade cakes and bakes, many of which had been kindly donated by children and parents, were served as well as squash and Fairtrade drinking chocolate.

The Fairtrade Group gave an assembly to the rest of the school on the theme of this year’s Fairtrade Fortnight – Climate Change . The group explained some of the problems that are created by climate change, the causes of climate change and what we can do to help stop it.

On Tuesday 8th February, Action Ants came into school. John and Andrew worked with all classes throughout the day. The first half of the activity was archery, the children were brilliant and loved it.

On Thursday 3rd February we had two visitors from Tullie House called Tian and Jackie. They came to tell us all about Chinese New Year. They came and told us the story of the Jade Emperor who organised the race.

Class One loved their trip to Paddington Bear Workshop at Tullie House on Wednesday 2nd February. We loved listening to a story and looking at all the fabulous things in cabinets that belonged to Michael Bond such as his typewriter.
