On Monday 19th April, Hrothgar The Viking raided Irthington School looking for Viking warriors.

The children of Class 3 enjoyed a very creative Wednesday 21st April in the sunshine. To begin the Vicious Vikings topic they built Viking long ships. 

Fairtrade Fortnight was a bit different this year due to the lockdown. However, the children delighted us by entering the bake-off and recording competition in large numbers.

We would all like to thank Caron for making such a lovely Christmas Lunch for us. It was yummy! We would also like to say a big thank you to Eirian and Louise!

We had lots of fun at our Christmas party in Class 2. The PTA kindly organised bingo, pass the parcel, buns to ice and a party bag for each child full of treats!

At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month everyone in school observed the 2 minutes silence. Children made poppy wreaths to remember those who have lost their lives during conflict.

On Wednesday 7th October, children from years 4, 5 and 6 distributed harvest gifts in Irthington Village.
