The PTA is an organisation run solely by volunteers to raise money to help the school provide materials, resources and facilities for the benefit of everyone who uses the school by running a variety of events throughout the school year.
More importantly, the activities help to bring parents together and promote good communication between parents, staff and the village while working towards a common goal. Members are entitled to attend meetings, vote on proposals and make suggestions for spending or raising funds.
Getting Involved
The PTA Committee always welcomes and encourages new members, to ensure there is a breadth of representative opinions from all year groups and also to capitalise on the talents, skillsets and experience of our parents and staff.
Each year the PTA hold two Clothing Collections in collaboration with the Great North Air Ambulance when we are very fortunate to be so well supported by not only the parents and families of children who attend our school but also by those who live in and around the villages surrounding our school and also further afield. All proceeds of these collections are shared equally between the GNAA and our school.
This year our Clothing Collections took place over the weekends of Sunday 15th May/Monday 16th May 2022 and Sunday 6th November/Monday 7th November and raised the sums of £219.60 and £283.60 respectively for both our school and the GNAA. A huge thank you to everyone involved in our collections, whether by delivering and/or collecting bags in the local area or donating items towards the collection.
